The idea
Good food shouldn't end up in the bin.
Every evening across Lusaka, bread, relish and fresh veg that is still perfectly good gets thrown away at closing time. At the same time, many of us are watching every kwacha before month end.
Fresh2Go connects the two. Shops recover money on food they would otherwise throw away, and you eat well for less. It's a fair deal, not a handout.
Up to 70% off
Example: a bakery bundle worth K120 in the shop, yours for K45. Every bundle shows both prices.
You pay about a third of the shop price

FAQ
Straight answers.
Is the food safe to eat?+
Yes. Fresh2Go only works with formal food businesses that operate strictly under Zambian food-safety regulations.
How fresh is the food?+
Most surprise bundles are listed on the same day they're collected. Vendors set the pickup window themselves and only list food that is still well within its shelf life.
How much do surprise bundles cost?+
It varies by surprise bundle, but expect up to 70% off the normal shop price. Every listing shows the original price, the surprise bundle price and the discount upfront.
What's a surprise bundle?+
A mix of same-day surplus food from a vendor. It could be bread and pastries, dairy, cooked meals, dry goods or fresh produce. The contents are described before you reserve.
Do I need a smartphone?+
Any modern phone or laptop with a browser is enough to reserve. An SMS pickup code is also available for customers who prefer it.
How does pickup work?+
Reserve a surprise bundle, get a short pickup code, and collect it at the vendor's counter within the pickup window. Show your code. No cash changes hands at pickup because you've already paid.
What if I miss my pickup window?+
Unclaimed surprise bundles expire at the end of the window. There's no penalty the first time, but repeat no-shows may limit your ability to reserve future surprise bundles.
How do I pay?+
Payments go through approved digital channels: mobile money (Airtel, MTN, Zamtel). Refunds and disputes are handled by Fresh2Go, not the vendor.
Is Fresh2Go in my area?+
Our first phase covers Great East Road and the clusters around it: City Centre, Northmead, Rhodespark, Manda Hill, Arcades, East Park, PHI, Avondale, Chelstone, Longacres, Mass Media, Kabulonga and Kabwata. We will expand across Lusaka based on demand.
Is this a food bank or a charity?+
Neither. Fresh2Go is a marketplace. Vendors earn revenue, you pay a fair price, and Fresh2Go earns a small commission on completed orders.
